Expanded capacities within a strong group — PBS and ATP join PolymerCycle

News PB Group

PBS and ATP have joined PolymerCycle — the integrated platform for plastics recycling — bolstering access to raw material streams, customer groups, and production capacities with cutting-edge sorting, preparation, and separation technologies. The new, expanded group now trades and recycles over 100 kt of plastic per year.

PBS is a dependable industry partner in secondary waste trading and the processing of qualities from dual systems, post-consumer, and post-industrial waste, while ATP is an R&D intensive player in the world of separation technology. In particular, ATP’s technological expertise in selective density separation of plastic composites enables the extraction of high-purity, reproducible recyclates from complex waste streams for reuse in demanding applications.

Together with Best Plastic Management (BPM), PolymerCycle is building an integrated plastics recycling value chain from the procurement of raw materials to preparation and processing through to the development and production of high-value, customer-specific final products. Customers are presented a wide choice of styrene, polyolefins, engineering plastics, and blends in the form of regrinds and regranulates.

By expanding internal value creation and diversifying feedstock, customers can be assured of reliable services at competitive prices. Recycling projects will be swiftly and efficiently supported by PolymerCycle’s expertise and infrastructure. “We are delighted to become a part of PolymerCycle,” said Patrick Blessing, Managing Director of PBS and ATP — and now also PolymerCycle. “We already have processing and regranulation capacities of several 10,000 tons in the group and can offer attractive solutions to demanding clients. In the future, we will continue to expand our recycling capacities and add specific compounding expertise.”
